John Muir Trust owns and cares for some of the UK’s finest wild landscapes including Ben Nevis, Schiehallion and Sandwood Bay. Following on from the successful identity redesign, the new branding was rolled out over the trust’s many forms of printed and digital communication over the next few years including stationery, signage, exhibition material, member’s journals, magazines, digital documentation and website.


The quarterly Members’ Journal required a complete redesign in line with the new branding and to portray the changes in the trust - improved efficiency and professionalism, consistency of approach and reliability.


The design of the Journal was carried out against the backdrop of a requirement to retain a serious and solid document of record. To this end a classic and restrained visual treatment was used, harnessing the power and majesty of beautiful and dramatic imagery of key locations in Scotland and (latterly) England.
